"Top Gear" has been receiving good praises, until recently, the show faced public backlash after host Matt LeBlanc and a professional driver performed motoring stunts near the Cenotaph. Hence, the show's big bosses reportedly asked LeBlanc and Evans help.
Considering that the criticism might negatively affect the revamped car show, a report from Mirror UK revealed that show's big bosses have requested both hosts to get their famous friends in order to boost the show and to bump up the A-list celebrities as well.
"Chris and Matt should not have a problem getting the cream of the crop from their contacts books. Top Gear is famous around the world and we usually get good names," an anonymous source said.
The move comes after when the said controversy has put the show under increasing criticism. It seems that numerous individuals were saddened and shocked by the said tragedy, as the source added that the show would have been banned from filming and would not have been given access if only the officials knew their plans ahead of time.
The controversial stunt was filmed throughout the weekend, wherein the car driven by the 48-year-old actor is heard roaring the road while spinning in circles that a cloud of smoke eventually covered the war memorial - angering the public and labelled their action as "disrespectful."
In its report, BCC news said that due to the segments' large-scale and complex shoot, the management had previously consulted with different police film units. In fact, the team took four months to prepare the segment that costs a whopping total of £100,000.
Nevertheless, the BCC apologized to all offended individuals and clarified that the Cenotaph was never intended to appear in the programme nor in the final film. The revamped car TV show will return airing to BCC on May 8, where fans worldwide are expecting to see more A-list talent.
