"Supergirl" is going racing against "The Flash," in a new crossover episode which will be premiered on March 28, Monday on CBS at 8 p.m E.T. A new trailer about the highly anticipated superhero crossover episode has just been unveiled, but who is the fastest is still a big secret.
"Supergirl x The Flash" is finally happening after weeks of teasers, and now a new trailer has been rolled out which shows the interesting intersection of the two superheroes.
Crossover episodes always hit the trending spot and the recent heat took place when "The Flash" and heroes from "Arrow" appeared in a recent "Legends of Tomorrow episode," which gained much popularity among the viewers. Now, the lightning-fast superhero is teaming up with Kryptonian girl in a mission to beat a new enemy.
According to the official plot, "The Flash" drops in from an alternate universe just in time to help Kara beat Livewire and Siobha, also known as Silver Banshee. Supergirl, in return, must help her benefactor to get back to where he belongs.
Looking at the individual accomplishment of the shows, Supergirl - starring Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers - made her debut in October 2015, and the first season got great reception among the viewers. The show even broke the record of highest views ever seen in a superhero broadcast for a single chapter, IGN reported
On the other hand, CW presentation, "The Flash" - starring Grant Gustin as the fastest man in the world - was born as a sidekick in the likes of "Small Ville" and "Arrow," which eventually got its own show. So like Marvel, DC Universe characters are not taking on both small and large screen opportunities. "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is another example, which is anticipated to break the pre-summer opening records.
"Supergirl" and "The Flash" Crossover is not the first time Gustin and Benoist are working together, the couple has previously appeared on "Glee," but both TV shows are the greatest break of their careers yet. "I honestly didn't think it was possible between networks," Variety quoted Benoist as saying.
The big buzz also about who is the fastest among the two superheroes? In one episode of "Small Ville," Clarke Kent clearly lost the battle to Flash. However, "Supergirl" and "The Flash" crossover trailer is not giving away its own version of the speediest.
Here is the new "Supergirl" vs "The Flash" Trailer.
