"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" director Zack Snyder said that he did not consider popular "The Flash" actor Grant Gustin as likelihood choice for his big screen character of Barry Allen, aka The Flash.
Snyder said in an interview with New York Daily News that despite the evident fame of the depiction of Gustin of the Scarlet Speedster on TV, he never at any time considered tapping him because of some reasons. The main reason is the great difference in the tone of the hit series from that which he purported the movie to have. Although "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has a lighter tone amid the severe dangers, the character version to come to the big screen will be something darker and grittier than the TV series.
Speaking about Gustin's Barry Allen in the DC Extended Universe, Snyder told the publication, "I just don't think it was a good fit. I'm very strict with this universe and I just don't see a version where that tone is not our world."
Furthermore, even if the director wanted to include Gustin, it would be the idea of the DC movies and TV show multiverse that would prevent the actor from jumping over to the big screen and join Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman in the Justice League. Snyder added that even if Gustin is his favorite character in the world, they made a commitment to the multi-verse concept, making it difficult to consider him.
Meanwhile, the Tuesday, March 22 episode of "The Flash" was chock full of meta and pop culture references, and it saved its twist for the final moments, according to Entertainment Weekly. After hours of trying to increase his speed, Barry battled a female speedster, Trajectory, who was addicted to the Velocity-9 to the extent that she overdosed, making her lightning to change colors before she transformed into dust.
Barry noticed that Velocity-9 is what changed the lightning blue, implying Zoom as well had the speed drug in his system. Barry's opponent is also sick because of V-9, just like Jay (Teddy Sear) fell ill due to an earlier version of Velocity. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) unveils the truth that Jay is actually Zoom.
