"NCIS" Season 13 is nearing its season finale but that does not stop the production team to add more big names before the season is over. "Twilight" star Sarah Clarke has been confirmed to play a huge role in the last two episodes of the show and she will portray FBI special agent Tess Monroe.
The actress will likely be a series regular heading into Season 14. Her character is said to be a transferee from D.C. to New York City and is described as someone who is quick-witted, strong-willed and attractive.
"We feel so fortunate to have Sarah Clarke joining us to play Tess," Variety quoted "NCIS" executive producer Gary Glasberg as saying. "I've been a fan of Sarah going back to '24' and more recently 'Bosch.'"
Glasberg went on to describe Clarke as a "gifted actress" and "a total pro." He said they cannot wait to introduce her to the "NCIS" family and "have some fun."
Apparently, the slot to be left by long-time cast member Michael Weatherly will be filled in by Clarke. Weatherly, who plays the role of special agent Anthony DiNozzo, will be leaving the show after this season.
Meanwhile, it looks like fans will get their wish granted as Cote de Pablo, who played the role of Ziva David, may return to give Weatherly's character a happy ending. Ziva David and Anthony DiNozzo shared a romantic relationship in the show which makes a reunion an option.
"We're really trying to give everybody something that leaves them satisfied," "NCIS" showrunner Gary Glasberg said in an interview with TV Line. He hinted that they are brewing something special with the exit of Michael Weatherly.
However, Glasberg noted that both characters might not actually see each other face-to-face, but instead, through a flashback. He added, "So plan on it being discussed and handled, even if it's in background."
"NCIS" Season 13 will be on break next week but will resume the following week on April 5. The twentieth episode of the season is entitled, "Charade." Here is a preview of the next episode:
