‘NCIS’ Season 13 episode 18 not airing this week (March 8): Here is what happens on 300th episode ‘Scope’ [Spoilers]

"NCIS" Season 13 takes a brief hiatus before airing the milestone episode next week. Episode 18 titled "Scope" happens to be the 300^th segment of the series and it will feature special appearance by Taye Diggs (The Best Man) in a significant role for a segment based on special theme revolving around wounded warriors. In episode 17 "After Hours," the Naval Criminal Investigative Services agents worked what it appeared to be the open-and-shut case. However, errors in the witness' account leaving the agents confused. Meanwhile, the show explored agents' personal lives.

Moving on to episode 18 of "NCIS" Season 13, the network has released the synopsis for the memorable segment. According to Spoiler TV's description of "Scope," after an American couple is attacked in Iraq, Gibbs and his team members open the files of the case that involve an attack on special ops Snipers that took place six months earlier in the same place. Upon re-examination, Gibbs figure that he must get in touch with a war veteran/sniper, who was wounded in an ambush in Iraq.

Broadway actor Taye Diggs guest stars as Marine Gunnery Sergeant Aaron Davis, who happens to be the only survivor in the attack. However, he is still in rehabilitation, struggling to recover from the Posttraumatic Stress disorder at Walter Reed Medical Centre. Sergeant's account of the attack is expected to help Gibbs and his teammates in the investigation.

In addition, the 300^th episode features a special performance by the MusiCorps band as part of a music rehabilitation program for the war veterans. The landmark segment written by Gary Glasberg and Gina Lucita Monreal also features Laura San Giacomo as Grace Confalone, Paul Bartholomew as Spencer Dodd and more.

Speaking about Diggs' appearance on the landmark segment, Glasberg said (via TV Guide): "For our 300th episode we needed a guest actor who could proudly portray one of our nation's wounded warriors as well as participate in a very touching musical performance. This emotionally charged role is tailor-made for Taye Diggs and we are so thrilled and honoured to have him join us."
