"Final Fantasy 15" game director Hajime Tabata discussed the current development of the video game during a NicoNico Livestream by Famitsu. He also teased interesting tidbits that will be fully unveiled during their event on March 31.
According to a report by Game Johou, Tabata said the game will be maintaining a 30fps framerate and that is Square Enix's objective. However, there are times that the game will fall below this mark because it is still not totally optimized yet. He and the Square Enix team will be continuing to optimize the game until it achieves a steady 30fps framerate.
The main game was originally going to have a game's run time around 40 hours of gameplay but now the company estimates it to be about 50 hours more. Tabata said that the game had more volume than what the game company originally planned at the beginning of the project.
Gamers play their games at their own pace, so 50 hours is not necessarily how long it will take a fan to play through the game, according to Gamespot. The given game run time by the company does suggest that it will be a very big game, according to the publication.
Other updates were also discussed by Tabata like the appearance of the creatures known as Cactuars. These creatures will be powerful opponents that will be able to dodge Shift Breaks.
Tabata also teased the details of the Airship which is something the team has decided a long time ago already on how they will introduce it into the game. He said that when fans will see the Airship they would approve of its design for the game.
The game director also announced that the game resolution for the game will be revealed during the release date announcement on March 31. A PlayStation 4 bundle for the game is in the works as the game company is working with Sony for that but there is no word of an Xbox One version. For those who are going to be present at the event, there will be a playable tech demo for them to try out.
