David Letterman might be seen on-screen with Jay Leno right before he ends his contract with the "Late Show". The CBS host has invited his previous rival to join him on his show before he finally retires from his TV Show in May, New York Daily News reported.
The offer was made a year ago when Leno was on to his last month in "Tonight Show," the TV Insider reported. When he was asked about this possibility during the National Association of Television Program Executives conference, he replied, "I have not heard of anything like that. I will check into it."
Leno and Letterman's feud began 1992 when Leno was preferred over Letterman by NBC, to be Johnny Carson's heir for the "Tonight Show". Letterman, after, left Peacock to join CBS where he's been hosting the "Late Show" since 1993.
Leno, on the other hand, had Jimmy Fallon to take over the "Tonight Show" in 2014.
Meanwhile, David Letterman blasted James Corden, when he appeared on the "Late Late Show". He, apparently criticized the Brit man for not commencing his run on the show sooner.
"Did CBS give you this? All the while I thought, it was the chubby man, which was given the show, the one from Great Britain, from England," he told Regis Philbin when he guested on the show.
Being sarcastic on Corden's commitment, Letterman asked, "how badly does he want the show?" Philbin immediately replied, "He loves it."
Still, Letterman was impressed with Corden when the actor visited the veteran's show.
