A brand new month brings new surprises to all Xbox Live Gold members across the globe. As Microsoft has revealed the official line-up of Games with Gold for April.
As promised, April will feature "Blockbusters" game titles. That said, Microsoft brings four blockbuster titles coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 and as part of the company's Games with Gold program, it is all for free download.
Xbox 360 proprietors, who are also Xbox Live Gold subscribers, can start their April gaming with a bang. Starting April 01, Friday, the science fiction survival horror video game titled "Dead Space" ($14.99 ERP) will be free for download until April 15. Then on April 16, Gold members can download "Saints Row IV" ($34.99 ERP) for free until April 30.
For those who are unfamiliar, "Saints Row IV" is an open world action game that has third-person shooter components. Where a player is allowed to investigate the environment and, at their leisure, play story or side missions. Both Xbox 360 titles can apparently be played on one's Xbox One console using a Backward Compatibility.
Meanwhile, Xbox One owners' should be delighted to know that they can download the 2013's episodic point-and-click adventure game titled "The Wolf Among US" ($24.99 ERP) for free for the entire month of April. Meanwhile, an exclusive game from Insomniac Games titled "Sunset Overdrive," will also be accessible as a free download from April 16 to May 15, The Major Nelson reported.
In October 2014, Microsoft Studios published the "Sunset Overdrive" game for the Xbox One. The said game is apparently set in an anecdotal metropolis called Sunset City in the year 2027, where players control an employee of FizzCo, who needs to battle off the humans, who transformed into mutants after drinking the company's energy drink. These mutants are so called OD, short for Overcharge Drinkers.
