"Empire" season 2 aired its 11th episode on Wednesday night and revealed the growing issues between the Lyon family.
It was also confirmed that Andre's wife Rhonda is alive, but she lost her baby after a terrible accident.
After she was brought to the hospital, Rhonda questioned God's existence in her and Andre's life saying that if God is real, their baby would have still been alive.
Andre, who vowed to develop a closer relationship with God is conflicted with his faith. A part of him still believes in the higher being, but another part of him is doubting God as well.
Meanwhile, Wednesday night's episode also revealed that Cookie and Lucious have specific plans on how to take down Camilla. In doing so, they are willing to risk their relationship with their youngest son Hakeem.
Hakeem has decided to turn his back on Empire Entertainment after Lucious lost ownership of the company. With this, the second half of "Empire" will focus more on Hakeem's greed for both fame and power.
During one the scenes, Hakeem said that he decided to take out his own father from the roster because he believes he's not a perfect fit for Empire.
In other news, Lucious and Hakeem also had a secret meet up on Wednesday night's episode where the former encouraged the latter to shoot him.
Lucious urged Hakeem to kill him, and threatened that if he wouldn't do so, he would be the one to take him down.
"Empire" season 2, episode 12 is expected to unveil more information about the Lyon family's struggles, as well as the ongoing issues with Empire Entertainment. Some guest stars are also expected to appear on the show.
However, series creator Paul Lee said that the back half of the season will focus more on the main characters of the show. After all, this was something they failed to do during the first half of the season, and it also resulted to them losing some of their most loyal fans.
Next week, Lucious' fate will be revealed, and Andre and Rhonda's faiths will continue to be tested.
