Like many other "Fast & Furious" stars, Michelle Rodriguez was also devastated over the sudden death of her co-star Paul Walker in 2013. However, it now appears that her sadness over her close friend's death was more fuelled by jealousy that he was the first one to left her "here."
The shocking revelations are made during an interview that the actress did on her recent experience under the influence of a psychedelic plant called Ayahuasca. Although she had taken the controversial drug weeks before the interview, she still sounded like she was under some kind of spell as she rhapsodized about life and death.
Ayahuasca is a brew used as a traditional spiritual medicine in ceremonies in Peru. The psychedelic plant has become increasingly popular with Hollywood celebrities, including Lindsay Lohan and Penn Badgley, who publicly raved the medicinal plant.
The interview is a part of the upcoming documentary "The Reality of Truth." It is directed by Mike Zapolin and Lauren Levy, featuring Rodriguez, Zapolin, and others, guided by spiritual leader Deepak Chopra.
In one of the clips, the actress is shown using the plant Ayanhuasca in Peru. Later, she confesses in the documentary that she had gone berserk in the year following Walker's death as she "did everything possible to hide" from herself.
"I have to say, you know, when I lost Paul, I was like... I went through about a year of just being like an animal. Like what could I do physically to just get my mind off of existentialism," said the 37-year-old actress during the interview, obtained by TMZ.
The brunette beauty also opened up to Entertainment Weekly earlier about resorting to partying and indulging in sex to deal with the shocking death of her close friend and co-stars of many " Fast & Furious" movies. Walker died while riding with pro driver and friend Roger Rodas, who was behind the wheel of a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT when it was involved in a high-speed single-vehicle collision.
The late actor appeared posthumously in "Furious 7" with his brothers, Cody and Caleb Walker, to complete the filming of his last few scenes. Filming of "Fast & Furious 8" began in March and is scheduled to hit theatres on April 14, 2017.
