Bruce Jenner is reportedly is transitioning to a woman and he is finally happy with his family accepting of what he is doing.
A source confirmed to People that Jenner is "in such a great space" and has "come out to those closest to him."
"That's why this is the perfect time to do something like this," the source told the publication.
In 2014, rumors that the 64-year-old reality star has undergone or will undergo sex change surgery began to spread after he had his Adam's apple shaved through a surgery called chondrolaryngoplasty, which can be an initial step to gender reassignment surgery.
Jenner was also reportedly considering changing his name from Bruce to Bridgitte while seeking advice from a sex change coach who happens to be his transgendered long-time friend, Renee Richards.
Both Richards, who transitioned into a woman in 1975, and Jenner had a professional career in sports.
Aside from being a transgender rights advocate, Richards used to play tennis in the US Open. Jenner is reportedly asking her for advice whether or not he should undergo gender reassignment surgery, Daily Mail reported.
On the other hand, Richards was reported to urge Jenner to think about the potential sex change surgery more seriously since it is a life-changing procedure that should be done only by people completely have no other option.
After the media spread the news about his plan to have his Adam's apple flattened, Jenner cancelled the operation but pictures of him with a bandaged neck were leaked.
