"Fifty Shades Darker" is currently filming in Vancouver, Canada.
Just recently, there have been ongoing rumors that actress Kim Basinger may no longer be part of the cast.
A few weeks ago, it was announced by book author E.L. James that Basinger has been tapped to play the role of Mrs. Robinson.
At that time, fans were ecstatic to see how Basinger will give life to the mysterious character.
In the books, Mrs. Robinson is described as an elderly but woman who also happened to be Christian Grey's (Jamie Dornan) BDSM mentor.
Christian also lost his virginity to her when he was just a teenager.
Meanwhile, photos of the cast members filming in Vancouver have been circulating online.
Just recently, photos of Dornan as Christian, and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele have been leaked everywhere.
Australian actress Bella Heathcote and Eric Johnson have also finished filming their scenes as Leila Williams and Jack Hyde respectively.
However, Basinger has not yet been spotted on set. This has led fans to believe that she has been replace or that her scenes may have been narrowed down to just a few.
It is also a possibility that Basinger's scenes as Mrs. Robinson remain intact. It's just that these scenes may typically take place indoors so outsiders and passersby cannot just see it as frequently as they saw Williams and Johnson.
In other news, Leila is known as Christian's former submissive. She also happens to be Christian's ex-girlfriend. When she resurfaces, Christian will be surprised at how much she's changed.
Leila is no longer the same woman Christian fell in love with before. Not only did she forget how to take care of her looks, she also became a bit twisted. The character will also torment Anastasia in a way.
Johnson's character Jack, on the other hand, happens to be Christian's biggest nemesis. He will be working as Anastasia's boss, and he will try to make a move on Christian's girlfriend.
Christian will not like Jack's arrogance so he will make it a point to strengthen his act.
"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017.
