Rafael Nadal admitted he is pleased with his playing form ahead of his next tournament at the Monte Carlo Masters despite riding a failed campaign to win a title.
Nadal has not won a title since last year's German Tennis Championships in Hamburg, putting the King of Clay on a losing streak for almost six months. Part of Nadal's winless campaign is the struggle to play at a high level, which has made him a 14-time Grand Slam winner.
But despite Nadal's losing streak this season, the Mallorcan does not seem too concerned about not winning any tournaments in a significant amount of time, insisting that he is pleased with the way things are going with his practice ahead of his next competition.
"Every tournament is an opportunity. I am happy with the way I am playing and practicing," Nadal said in an interview with IB3, reports Tennis World USA.
"In Indian Wells, I played at a very high level and with confidence, and after that I could not give continuity, I was dehydrated.'
The Spaniard has started practicing for the Monte Carlo Masters, which kicks off on Apr. 10-17. The tournament will signify the beginning of Nadal's drive to win his first ATP World Tour-level title this year on clay-court events, where the 29-year-old won 47 of his 67 career singles titles, including nine Grand Slam victories at Roland Garros.

But after coming off a loss at the Indian Wells and withdrawing from the Miami Open due to a dizzy spell, there are doubts about Nadal getting his first tournament win of 2016, especially against the likes of a returning Roger Federer and world No. 1 Novak Djokovic, who recently won the Miami Open for the sixth time.
"If the health is fine in a couple of days and nothing is there, I will be ready in a couple of days and I hope to be ready for the clay," Nadal said after withdrawing at the Miami Open, reports the India Times.
