Released in the United States on Jan. 30, Friday, Open Road Films' "The Loft," the remake of a 2008 Belgian thriller, is currently enjoying rave reviews.
Directed by Eric Van Looy and written by Bart De Pauw and Wesley Strick, "The Loft" stars Eric Stonestreet, Wentworth Miller, Karl Urban, Matthias Schoenaerts and James Marsden as five male friends who share a loft where they hide their extramarital affairs.
In real life, Marsden married to Lisa Linde in 2000 but divorced in 2011. The two share two children together, son Jack Holden, 13, and daughter Mary James, 9. With his former girlfriend Brazilian model Rose Costa, Marsden has a son named William, 2.
In 2014, Marsden was quick to offer some parenting advice to Ryan Gosling, 33, a month after his "The Notebook" co-star's girlfriend Eva Mendes gave birth to a baby girl named Esmeralda Amada.
"Make it through the first year. You'll get your sleep eventually. You go through those sleep-deprived months where you don't know who you are or where you are, or what's happening. But just enjoy every second of it I guess," said the 41-year-old father of three in an interview with Yahoo while promoting his film "The Best Of Me," which enjoyed box office success despite being faced by strong rivals, "Gone Girl" and "Fury."
According to Marsden, Gosling is a good and very intelligent man who "seems very in tune with his young self."
Both "The Notebook" and "The Best Of Me" are film adaptations of the novels of Nicholas Sparks, who recently ended his real-life romance.
