Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna's engagement is reportedly an unhappy news for momager Kris Jenner. However, the couple seems unfazed as they were spotted smiling during a recent outing.
According to an insider of US Weekly, the Kardashian matriarch is "not happy" about his only son getting engaged to Tyga's baby mama although "she will say she is." The momager reportedly thinks that Rob is "making a mistake" by doing a hasty decision.
The family has been mum about the sock entrepreneur's recent milestone but they have reportedly reached out to him in private. His sisters Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie are currently boding in Vail, Colorado.
Another insider of the magazine said that while the family has "some concern" about how fast Rob and Chyna have taken their relationship to the next level, they have congratulated him. They have yet to address the former "Dancing with the Star" contestant's engagement in their social media accounts though.
On Thursday, Rob and Chyna were spotted together for the first time since their engagement announcement. The couple were both donning casual attire with the model wearing an all-black ensemble accentuated by a white bomber jacket. She also wore a colorful scarf to wrap her hair. The now slimmer reality star, meanwhile, wore a basic white tee and blue shorts that he paired with his go-to cap.
A barefaced Chyna was seen smiling as she flashed the 7-carat diamond ring that Rob gifted her. The sparkler was a creation of jeweler Ben Baller, founder of IF & Co., who is a good friend of the sock entrepreneur.
When Baller talked to E! News last Wednesday, he said that Chyna is "really going crazy over the ring." He also said, "$325,000 is pretty close to what he paid, but it could have been a lot more because of the clarity. It's hard to manipulate that kind of radiance on a diamond."
The jeweler shared that Rob called him about the engagement ring for Chyna and that he had some ideas about the kind that he likes. In the end, however, he agreed to let Baller do his own thing.
