"Bungo Stray Dogs" episode 2 - preview, spoilers
The episode is titled "A Certain Bomb." The preview begins with Nakajima Atsushi waking up on a futon and he reveals that it has been a long time he slept on a futon. However, Kunikida Doppo wakes him up and informs him that there is an emergency.
A bomber has taken a hostage and he is in the office of Armed Detective Agency. But it looks like Atsushi doesn't want to go. Towards the end of "Bungo Stray Dogs" episode 2 preview, the time bomb is triggered. Can they save the place?
The preview trailer also reveals Kunikida's ability as Doppo poet.
"Bungo Stray Dogs" episode 1 recap and review
The episode starts with Atsushi sitting by the riverside and he is starving. The boy is kicked out of his orphanage and now he has nowhere to go. Suddenly, he sees a pair of legs in the river. With his stomach in growl mode, he jumps in the river to save the man.
Dazai, the man introduces himself and asks if he spoiled his submersion. Atsushi is shocked that he saved the man's life and he is giving him a lecture.
Later, Kunikida appears and he is angry that his schedule for the day is ruined because of Atsushi and Dazai. At the restaurant, Atsushi eats bowls after bowls of tea on rice and Dazai tells him about his detective agency.
Atsushi reveals that a man-eater beast has been following him for days and Dazai offers to help him. However, they seek his help and tell him that he would be the bait.
It is a full moon night and Atsushi is freaking out while Dazai reads the suicidal tips book.
Dazai reveals that there is no man-eater but Atsushi is the one. Like Kunikida and him, he possesses this quality to transform into a beast beneath the light of the moon.
Episode 1 gives a fast-paced intro about Atsushi and the animation is spot on. "Bungo Stray Dogs" looks quite promising with a good dose of humor.
