"Once Upon a Time" (OUAT) Season 5 episode 18 airs April 17, Sunday. The upcoming segment is titled "Ruby Slippers" and it is expected to explore Ruby and Mulan's storyline. The show shifts its focus and sees what's happening with Ruby and Mulan. Here are spoilers for the next chapter of ABC's fairytale drama. Read on to find out what happens next.

ABC has released a synopsis for "Once Upon a Time" (OUAT) Season 5 episode 18 "Ruby Slippers" on its official website. According to the plot details, the show will take fans in the past wherein Ruby and Mulan are in Oz. In Oz, they meet Dorothy. When the trio learns about Zelena's return to the Oz, they team up together to bring her down for once and for all.
Later, however, Dorothy goes missing leaving Ruby and Mulan wondering. The duo, then, heads out to search for Dorothy. Their quest will lead them to the Underworld where they find Emma, Regina and others. Ruby will ask Emma, Regina and Snow to help her find Dorothy, who is still missing.
In an interview with TV Line, the "Once Upon a Time" (OUAT) executive producer Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz hinted at an LGBT affair in Season 5. "We know that [the LGBT] community has been a big supporter of the show, and we would love to be able to tell a love story that reflects that," Kitsis told the abovementioned publication.
Even though the EPs did not mention the couple, the publication speculated it is none other than Ruby and Mulan. Meanwhile, Cartermatt is speculating "Once Upon a Time" (OUAT) Season 5 episode 18 might be the chance where fans will get to see said "same-sex romance on the show."
At the same time, the show will see Snow and David worry about Neal. So, the couple decides that at least one of them must leave the Underworld and be with their son. Snow and David come up with a plan to escape the Underworld.
