A week after Drake surprises his fans across the globe by dropping two new singles from his upcoming album, the Canadian rapper recently announced the release date of his new studio album titled "View From the 6."
On April 5, the rapper dropped two new tracks titled "Pop Style" featuring The Throne (Kanye West and Jay-Z) and "One Dance" featuring Kyla and Wizkid. Now, it has been revealed that Drake is set to release his new album on April 29.
The long-awaited album's release date was revealed on Drake's Beast 1 show, OVO Sound Radio on April 9, Saturday. It will be Drake's fourth studio album, and his first since 2013's "Nothing Was The Same."
"It is something that I've been working really, really hard on," USA Today quoted Drake as saying.
Meanwhile, another fresh report came saying that as a major aspect of Drake's deal with the company, the album will be an Apple Music/iTunes exclusive when it gets released. The 29-year-old rapper is seemingly not new to streaming devices.
Drake has always been a sharp supporter of Apple Music since its launch in 2015. The rapper was present at Apple Music's launch in San Francisco, as his hit song "Hotline Bling" was first released on the said platform before any other streaming service.
It has been reported that the new album will highlight production from the rapper's longtime counterpart, Noah "40" Shebib, as well as OVO's Sound staples, Boi-1da, and Nineteen85. In earlier reports, Drake seemingly explained the meaning of "the 6" in his album title, stating that it is a reference to his hometown, Toronto.
Much to the delight of the fans, Aubrey Drake Graham a.k.a Drake took to Instagram to share a 30-second trailer for the said upcoming album. The released trailer seemingly projects an image of some artwork onto a building in London.

Meanwhile, Drake seemingly reignited the beef between Meek Mill after the rapper released the first single from the said upcoming album, "Summer Sixteen," a track that disses the latter early this year. Just 15 minutes after the release of the said first single, Mill then released a response track titled "War Pain."
