Apple continues its pursuit of smartphone market dominance as iPhone 7 rumors on specs and features prove to be more ambitious than ever.
The upcoming flagship is said to have an even more powerful camera compared to its predecessors, Network World reported. The phone reportedly will adopt the same variants of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, and the camera for the 5.5-inch screen variant will have a double lens camera.
However, some consumers might not be too pleased as one of the top reasons why most prefer the iPhone is to avoid carrying bigger digital camera models. The reason why Apple will proceed with this move is due to the reception to the 6 Plus variant. Those who purchased the said model has the optical image stabilization feature built into the unit and the company would like to carry over that tradition from here on out, the website added.
Meanwhile, BGR got their hands on the reportedly leaked photos of the iPhone 7 and it indeed, showcases the dual lens feature. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo affirmed that the dual-lens feature will be exclusive to the iPhone 7 Plus variant.
"Top hardware upgrade is dual-camera (5.5-inch model only)," Kuo said in the note. "Though many competing models with dual-camera will launch soon, joining others already on the market; first impressions could underwhelm."
Also, Apple is said to make some huge announcement WWDC which will likely happen in June. Aside from the iPhone series, they will also unveil a newer model of Apple Watch which would be 40 percent thinner than its predecessor.
Another iPhone 7 rumored specs and features update include a dirty word blocker in songs. This feature will convert the swear words to either a bleep or a wholesome word. However, it is not yet confirmed if this feature will be installed to the iPhone 7 series as they just got the patent on this idea.
Lastly, an iPhone 7 hardware concept was uploaded in YouTube courtesy of Zoltan Major. The video shows the phone having a 12 MP camera front and back, a molded glass casing, an advanced lens system, a ring flash and five color variants.
