After entertaining the fans during "Fear the Walking Dead" season 1, the spin-off of "The Walking Dead" was finally back for its second season. It has been reported that "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2, which aired its pilot episode on April 10, contains 15 episodes, which is really far more than the previous season's 6 episodes.
In relation to "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2's pilot episode, it has been reported based on the official synopsis that "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 episode 1 will begin with Travis and Madison's families staying temporarily at Strand's secure place. Strand is already set to leave Los Angeles where the zombies are starting to fill the place with horror. He plans to escape by travelling the vast ocean using his large yacht "Abigail" to flee LA, Coming Soon reported.
In addition, it was also exposed in the synopsis that Travis and Madison's family will join Strand on his yacht, and soon they will face an unexpected danger while crossing the ocean. Perhaps, this was what the viewers saw during its first episode last night, titled "Monster," except for the dangers in the ocean which fans may see in the upcoming episodes.
The show's executive producer Greg Nicotero revealed upon his interview with the Wall Street Journal that "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 will contain numerous scenes at the sea. He said that the group is just one of the people who decided to flee Los Angeles with a boat.
With that, it can be expected that the group is likely to encounter danger while taking their chances at the ocean. This might trigger emotional stress among the group that would soon result to conflicts between them.
The EP added that although Strand planned to hop on his yacht to escape the dangers of Los Angeles, the group will realized that their plans ended on getting on the boat, and that they have no concrete plan on where they will go. The first episode did expose though that the group will head to San Diego.
Meanwhile, "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 episode 2, titled "We All Fall Down," promo is now out, where we will see that the band will take a refuge with a survivalist family. Although, Madison family will try to uncover the true motives of the latter.
