A few weeks before "Captain America: Civil War" opens in theaters, Marvel Studios decided to screen the film for some members of the press, many of whom gave overwhelmingly positive reviews.
Based from the reactions gathered after the screening, "Captain America: Civil War" will be a hit when it opens next month. Fans who have been waiting for the film have nothing to worry about.
The rave reviews should put Marvel ahead of its competitor's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," that had negative reception from movie critics. The comparison is inevitable considering the similar theme of "Civil War" with its DC counterpart.
Everything that BVS did wrong, Civil War does right. Does so right.

Most of those who have watched the film teased an action sequence set in the airport where the opposite teams face off. The elaborated reactions mostly praised Tom Holland's Peter Parker a.k.a "Spider-Man," who made his debut in the latest trailer release of "Civil War." "Black Panther" has been lauded too, especially Chadwick Boseman's interpretation of the character. The only disappointment has been pointed at the villain "Baron Zemo" whose role was rather subtle, Independent reported.
Oh yeah, the big fight in Captain America: Civil War is cinematic joy. And Spider-Man is so great. He's in it more than I thought he'd be. — Mike Ryan (@mikeryan) April 9, 2016
Overall, Marvel seems to have perfected the formula of bringing the fun in the big screen adaptation of their comic books. Full reviews will be allowed the come out once the film is screened at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on April 13, Slash Film reported.
"Captain America: Civil War" has the largest heroes' ensemble since the "Avengers: Age of Ultron." It is the last film of Marvel's Cinematic Universe Phase II.
"Civil War" pits Chris Evans' Captain Steve Rogers against Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark in light of the heroes registration act pushed by the government after the massive collateral damage in the earlier MCU films. It divides the "Avengers" into two factions led by Captain America and Iron Man. Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Don Cheadle, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Tom Holland, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Jeremy Renner and Emily VanCamp also joined the ensemble. The film is directed by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo.
"Captain America: Civil War" opens on May 6. To know more about how "Civil War" fares as a successor to "Winter Soldier", watch the video below:
