Recently included in "The Girlfriend Experience" cast is Tom Hardy's "Mad Max: Fury Road" co-star Riley Keough as a manipulative nymphomaniac who charges $1000 an hour. The 13-episode 2016 TV series is a sexual and emotional journey of a woman divided between her day and night time profession.
"The Girlfriend Experience" is inspired from the Steven Soderbergh's original 2009 movie title, in which porn star Sasha Gray played the lead role. The 2016 drama series, casting Riley Keough, is an episodic remake of the story that revolves around a sophomore Chicago law student Christine Reade who is also an intern at a well-known Kirkland & Allen law firm.
The plot follows Christine as she derails into a highly paid escort services called "The Girlfriend Experience" which is abbreviated as GFE, where she goes by the alias Chelsea. Unlike the complete sex appeal of the title, Christine or Chelsea does not offer just sex for money; she also provides emotional support to her rich and powerful clients as well, so basically acting as a paid girlfriend.
Christen entered the world of GFE via Avery—played by "House of Cards" actress Kate Lyn Sheil—who not her friend and classmate. All the clients are fixed by yet another character who is her booker—played by "In Reponse" actor Alex Castillo—who makes sure the money is rolling in.
David Tellis-played by "Boardwalk Empire" actor Paul Sparks-arrives in the scene as a lawyer who has something to hide and Christine eventually finds herself rolling deeper under his touch. David has a partner, Erin Roberts—performed by "24" star Mary Lynn Rajskub—but things go beyond the simple partnership.
As seen in the official trailer, "The Girlfriend Experience" unfolds a whole new world for Christine, as she the transition from law student to a high-paid girlfriend substitute who also likes sex pushes her life to a point where things get out of control. The TV series films some seductive moves from Keough that bring the best out of her sexual body.
The 2016's "The Girlfriend Experience" show comes from executive producers Lodge Kerrigan, Amy Seimetz and Steve Soderbergh. It is reported that Keough studied the role by talking to professional GFE services provider. The 26-year old actress says that the role she is playing may not be extremely likable but it is very controlling, sexy and manipulative qualities that one usually relates to a man.
