HBO has allowed another glimpse of the things to come for "Game of Thrones' Season 6 via the second official trailer of the hit fantasy-drama series, somehow reminding that come April 24, Episode 1 of Book 6 (Winds of Winter) will on HBO's premium channel. Normally, viewing will require annual payment of $180 but there are ways to watch online and in real time without losing a cent.
To be clear there is no need to resort to piracy, which anyway in doing so will mean significant delay. Instead, GoT fans can take advantage of the promotional deals coming from HBO and Verizon Wireless, according to BGR.
One option is signing up on HBO Now on trial run, which translates to one month of free access on the online Pay TV. That would be at least four episodes of the ten that will run on the full Season 6 course, which admittedly is quite short of the total fix.
Or better yet, as BGR suggested, get a mobile device plan from Verizon. The telco currently dangles a promo that includes three months of HBO Now access. Customers need only to purchase a new line if not yet on Verizon or upgrade from an existing contract. Once enlisted, "the service allows user to stream all of HBO's content on demand to any smartphone or compatible set-top box," the report said.
Consequently, GoT fans will also find one key benefit from the deal - the allure of reviewing in marathon the first five Game of Thrones seasons that should be the best preparation before the latest instalments hit the screens.
And as the latest HBO official trailer suggests, the upcoming GoT chapter has tons to unload. That Winter is indeed coming with the army of White Walkers threatening to breach The Wall. That Jaime Lannister, the Kingslayer, and Ser Robert (The Mountain) are set to avenge the humiliation inflicted by the High Sparrow on Cersei - meaning blood will spill and heads will roll. And that death will be aplenty.
As Peter Dinklage, who plays the small but wise Tyrion Lannister, has intimated in a recent interview - no one is safe in the Seven Kingdoms so many are again to fall, possibly including the Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen.
Tragic as death maybe but the same happening to Ramsay Bolton - for raping Sansa Stark, torturing Theon Greyjoy and tormenting the rest of Winterfell - should be welcome to GoT viewers.
But not in Jon Snow's case as viewers are holding on to the faint hope that Davos and some loyal Watchmen of the Lord Commander will protect his body for the resurrection work by Melisandre, who as the Red Woman is the focus of Game of Thrones Season 6, Episode 1 airing on April 24.
