Celta Vigo is at the fifth spot of the current league table, eight points behind fourth-placed squad Villarreal CF who is now holding the fourth and final Champions League qualification spot with only six matchdays left in the current season.

The top three teams at the end of the season will directly qualify to the group stage of the said European club competitions while the fourth place finisher will advance in the playoff round. As of the moment, FC Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Real Madrid are the top three clubs and are miles ahead of the pack.

Os Célticos is coming off a tough 1-0 win over bottom three squad Sporting Gijon at the Estadio El Molinón last Sunday, as per ESPN.

Spanish winger Nolito scored the winning goal of the contest four minutes after the hour mark for head coach Eduardo Berizzo's squad to complete their fourth consecutive unbeaten performance.

Mathematically, the Sky Blues can still reach the Yellow Submarine in the overall standings although it would be a daunting task for the Galicia residents.

Meanwhile, Real Betis also pulled off a 1-0 decision in their previous match, this time against cellar dwellers Levante UD at their home field of Estadio Benito Villamarín last Saturday, as reported by Four Four Two.

Los Verdiblancos striker Ruben Castro provided the lone goal of the match nine minutes before the full time whistle as manager Juan Merino's boys could not penetrate Levante's defense for almost the whole game.

With the win, Betis remains comfortable nine points above the bottom three relegation zone with only six games left in their current domestic top flight campaign.

The predicted result is another 1-0 victory for Celta Vigo.
