Facebook just rolled out Livestream Mevo, the first ever camera that works with its Live Videos. Announced during Facebook F8 developer conference, the 4K camera directly integrates with Facebook Live to broadcast 4K quality video streams; shipping start this summer.
Facebook F8 finally concluded forwarding exciting new items. Traversing the edges of previously published products, the tech titan rolled out Livestream Mevo, a dedicated standalone camera to broadcast videos on Facebook Live, The Verge reported.
Livestream Mevo was first seen at the CES 2016 where it was called Movi. The HD stream camera features smart cylindrical body, wide angle 4K videos, and versatile software that gives is the power of editing live video streams.
Mevo can be used to break 4K videos into multiple 1080p videos and edit the video feeds as well. This multi-cam streaming gadget is an economical solution what otherwise comes at a good amount of money, very suitable for individuals who wish to broadcast live feeds on Facebook Live on a budget.
Users can use Facebook Mevo to make an online presence as they can with live videos on YouTube. There is an added benefit on the social network and that is much wider audience at any given time and just like channel subscriptions on YouTube, the Facebook account holder will be able to follow your videos, along with other feeds. Additionally, Mevo will allow consumers to share live broadcasts through Livestream or other live video broadcasting services, Engadget reported.
Livestream Mevo automatically detects faces and other objects and it is also able to switch between virtual camera angles. The battery life has to be a limitation with an hour's backup, but buyers can extend it to additional 10 hours by purchasing an add-on.
