While the "Grand Theft Auto 6" has not been officially confirmed as of this writing, many reports are already claiming that the game sequel could soon get the green light. Now, fresh reports reveal the possibility of the game setting coming back from the future.

Some experts believed that the release date of the unconfirmed sequel game is not going to be anytime soon, stating that fans worldwide still have to wait for as much as the year 2020 before they can get a taste of it. Hence, a horde of rumors and speculations about the gameplay, setting, and new features are gradually getting on board.

Now that the development of the game seemed to be in full swing, a few analysts strongly speculate that there is a big chance that the next installment will be going back in time. Considering Tokyo's blend of the historical and modern component, the rumor mill has it that Rockstar Games is planning to set the game setting in the capital city of Japan, N4BB reported.

The said speculation coincide with some previous reports claiming that Rockstar made a reference trip to Tokyo city several years ago, in order to evaluate its potential for a full "Grand Theft Auto" games, Tech Radar has learned.

On April 7, recent "Grand Theft Auto 6" news claim that the giant game developing company has effectively finished the map-building stage for the newest installment. Hence, it was reported that the game may see the light around three years or so if Rockstar Games stay on schedule.

Fans will also be delighted to take note that the sequel game is expected to feature even more weapons and ammunitions as compared to its predecessor. The game has been speculated to be released exclusively for Xbox One, Windows, and PlayStation 4 platform.

While many fans are pleased with this new revelation, the reports ought to be taken with a pinch of salt unless Rockstar Games officially confirmed it.
