The shipments for the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset are still plagued with delays as more customers complain. The backers from the company's Kickstarter page have a "TBD" showing in their order history instead of the date.

Some customers have been receiving emails that show the shipping estimates of the delay from the VR headset company. The emails read that the estimated shipping date has been moved from July to August, and that means any new orders for the headset will be coming to customers after four more months.

Kickstarter backers' order history has been changed too, according to a post on the Oculus subreddit. It is now "TBD" or to be discussed, instead of the previous shipping date. The VR company added that they have already shipped out a large number of the orders and there will be more coming soon on a regular basis.

Some customers who have ordered the VR headset on the first day of its availability have also been seeing some big delays on their part. The system has been launched, but the hardware is being shipped on a later date.

A customer tweeted that his order was processed minutes after the VR headset went on sale. A few days later, he found out that his package's new estimated shipping date was now two months after the headset's release.

Another customer tweeted his frustration of the shipping delays for his VR headset. He said that he waited for three years for this product, and now it has a miserable launching.

According to Polygon, the VR company has released a statement that explained the long delays of the product shipments. They said that there was a shortage of components for the products, which lessened its quantities, and they did not expect that setback. They are currently changing the shipment window for this new situation they are in.

The company assured that they are sending the VR headsets to their customers every day, and they are now focused on manufacturing more of the products as soon as they can. They also assured that they have a new plan for the shortage of components, and they want to ship more products in each week.
