Dillon King, Amy Duggar's husband, is being sued for over $50,000 by the Bentonville Northwest Medical after. A new report revealed that the reality star failed to pay the hospital for his treatment in 2015, even when the couple went on several luxurious vacations this year.
According to She Knows, representatives from Bentonville Northwest Medical repeatedly asked King to settle the payments until June 26, 2016 for the treatments he received when he was confined from January 22-25, 2016. King was reportedly involved in a car accident, which left him with a broken femur.
"He has a broken femur, he has an 18 inch rod in his leg! He had a head on collision yesterday, someone drove directly into his lane and hit him at 45mph," Amy posted on her Instagram page.
The $50,000 that Dillon King owed from the hospital also included attorney's fee ($7,791.07), interest ($2, 134.54), as well as an additional of 6 percent interest from March 2, 2016 until the judgment date.
According to Inquisitr, at the time of King's accident he owned his own business, Wet Ink Design. Duggar was then part of the now defunct reality series, "19 Kids and Counting," in which it was shown that she was trying her luck in becoming a country singer. While they have yet to get married, King and Duggar were in a very serious relationship back in 2015.
The outlet reported that during King's accident, Amy stayed with him the entire time, even holding Bible studies while he was in the hospital trying to recover. Almost a year after the incident, the Kings are happily married and have taken several expensive trips as a couple. Amy even bought a new car recently, which surprised a lot of her followers, wondering how was she able to afford it after "19 Kids and Counting was cancelled."
The outlet also pointed out that since the accident was not King's fault, most likely it was the insurance company who has yet to settle the payments for Bentonville Northwest Medical.
"Amy made it sound like the accident was not Dillon's fault when it happened, so there is no word on why insurance isn't helping to pay for this wreck and his hospital bills," it said.
