After "Dark Souls 3" game got released recently, it has been labelled as one of most demanding franchises in the market. It has won the description of a game that tests a player's patience, rewarding them for their effort after they pass a test presented to them, regardless of its nature.
However, there is much more to "Dark souls 3" than its predecessors. The game starts out more intensely, tossing the gamer into the deep end earlier than what one experienced in the previous "Souls" games.
Within the first 30 minutes, a player faces a challenging first boss, and hence, they are always required to start planning their character build early and dig into the weapon upgrading system. It always comes out as a smart decision because multiple veteran players are already familiar with the basics of the game.
It also allows for immediate concentration on new features like the FP mechanics. These and other special abilities in "Dark souls 3" contribute to a feeling of discovery, and further open the combat of the game wider, rewarding mastery of weapons and tactical consideration.
In another perspective, "Dark souls 3" embodies a less open and more constrained game in terms of experience compared to the former "Souls" games. According to Inverse, he game includes an extensive range of weapons, armor, and spells. Yet, the stats system of the game ends up discouraging the wild experimental builds that a number of gamers are fond of.
This means that heavy armor users do not have an advantage in the game, at least in the first play-through. Rather, they have a high chance of getting knocked around than in the past. Pyromancies, sorceries, and miracles feel weaker than what they should be in the game, Giant Bomb reported.
"Dark Souls 3" seems to deliver its story through the unclear use of item descriptions and environmental storytelling. Still, several reviews describe it as one of the most straightforward games in the "Souls" series.
"Dark souls 3" references its expansive history to build boss fights, environments, and even narrative turns that influence the last seven years of games, making allusion and reference to every past "Souls" game.
"Dark Souls" is available in the Steams store at a price of $56.61.
