A couple of hours before the new "Ratchet & Clank" game went on sale, Sony has dropped an updated patch 1.02 on April 12, Tuesday, Christian Today has learned. According to the publication, the patch disables the ability to stream and share the game's final cinematic content.

Nonetheless, game players should need not to worry, as it has been learned that the patch is only designed to keep the film's plot and to prevent any leaks about the upcoming animated film. Both game developer and publisher seemingly reassured fans worldwide, stating that the said patch 1.02 would not affect the overall enjoyment of the game.

It has been learned that the sharing function will still be functional for the other parts of the game. Apart from that, the blocking of movie scenes will have no effect on the total gameplay experience.

Initially planned for a 2015 release, the upcoming "Rachet & Clank" animated film retells the events of two improbable heroes, a reckless "Lombax" called Ratchet and Clank, an escaped protagonist robot - and their endeavor to prevent a menacing villain from devastating the entire Solana Galaxy, according to the official synopsis posted on the film's official website.

However, the animated film is said to develop different plot points in great details and has been reported to introduce some fresh elements such as Doctor Nefarious and the Galactic Rangers.

The film will also feature several star-studded voice including James Arnold Taylor as Ratchet, David Kaye as Clank, Paul Giamatti as Chairman Drek, John Goodman as Grimroth, Bella Thorne as Cora, Rosario Dawson as Elaris, Sylvester Stallone as Victor Von Ion, Jim Ward as Captain Qwark, Vincent Tong as Brax and Armin Shimerman as Dr. Nefarious.

With the film directors, Jericca Cleland and Kevin Munroe, helming the project, the film will be released theatrically in the United States on April 29, along with a "re-imagining" of the original "Ratchet & Clank" platformer-shooter video game.
