Episode 2 of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress may have been moved for next week's release, but Wit Studio was still able to win more fans after releasing the official opening of the post-apocalyptic, steampunk anime series on Thursday.
Thanks to an incredible season premiere last week, Koutetsujou no Kabaneri has already established itself as one of the hottest anime series this season. Anime fans and critiques alike lauded Tetsuro Araki and his team for its impeccable art design, superb musical score and pulsating storyline, all together presenting an upgrade version of Attack on Titan - another popular post-apocalyptic anime series Araki directed.
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress revolves around the story of a steam smith named Ikoma, who seeks to eliminate every single Kabane (a zombie-liked monster that can infect other humans with its bite) and restore faith in humanity. But to accomplish his goal, he needs to come up with a weapon capable of piercing through the iron layer that is protecting the Kabane's weak spot - its heart.

His life started to change when he met Mumei, a mysterious girl who has been in the Iron Fortress. At the night of Kabanes' attack on Arawakin startion, Ikoma accidentally gained a power that would enable him to fight Kabanes in close quarter. Together with Mumei and the survivors of Arawakin station, they ventured to a journey on the locomotive called Hayajiro, seeking answers to questions surrounding the Kabanes and the world itself.

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress episode 2 has been postponed last Thursday to give way for Fuji TV's coverage of recent earthquake in Japan, particularly in Kumamoto Prefecture. It's scheduled every Thursday on Fuji TV noitamina block at 24:55.
