Fans must brace themselves as Barry Allen will finally come face to face with Zoom. According to the synopsis for "The Flash" Season 4 episode 18, Barry will use tachyon device to catch up with Zoom.

While he is determined to capture Zoom, Barry insists on opening breaches despite Harry's disagreement. Harry is reluctant to let Barry follow his plan. However, Barry manages to convince Harry, who reveals that Cisco has the power to re-open the breach.

In addition, the show is expected to explore Hunter Zolomon's backstory and what happened on Earth-2. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, actor Teddy Sears, who plays the role of Jay Garrick, recently revealed to be Zoom, talked about Zolomon's past and what to expect from "The Flash" Season 4 episode 18.

According to the actor, Hunter Zolomon's origin story "closely mirrors" Barry Allen's origin story. The show will reportedly explore what happened to Zolomon when he was a child. The only difference between the two is that they chose different paths.

"The template was set at a very early age for both characters," Sears told the publication. "Hunter goes the opposite way that Barry goes; that's what I can tease about where it all began, which of course gets into some really exciting stuff when Hunter and Barry begin to interact, because there's a lot of stuff that bubbles up to the surface for Hunter that he didn't realize was there."

Meanwhile, the actor also addresses Zoom and Caitlin's storyline. He assured that his feelings for Caitlin were real. His backstory reveals why he loves her and needs her.
