"The Flash" season 2 may see Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) and Caitlin Show (Danielle Panabaker) eventually getting back together.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, cast member Sears hinted on the possible reunion between the two characters on the hit The CW series.
While speaking with the publication, Sears said that Zoom or Hunter Zolomon actually did care for Caitlin.
"Absolutely. That's something that executive producer Andrew Kreisberg from the beginning wanted to hammer into me. While there were games being played on all the other members of S.T.A.R Labs, what he felt for Caitlin was the real deal. That adds a really interesting dynamic to this moving forward. He essentially is one gigantic liar who has played them all, but he never played her. There are real feelings there," he said.
Meanwhile, Sears also said that viewers of "The Flash" will eventually find out why Hunter is so attracted to Caitlin. There are some speculations that Zoom and Caitlin's villainous counterpart Killer Frost were previously linked to each other.
"There's even an under-layer based on where he came from in his life - his origin story - that plays a big part in why he wants her, why he needs her, why he loves her," he said.
In other news, the "Masters of Sex" cast member also dished on the controversial Man in the Iron Mask. Unfortunately, Sears said that fans still have to wait until the final season from season 2 to find out more about him.
According to him, he previously didn't have any idea who was the man behind the mask. However, he confirmed that he already knows his identity at the moment.
"All has been revealed to me. I don't even know what to say because it's such a fun thing to me being nice and vague and untouched. I can promise that it will be revealed and it will be quite satisfying," he said.
"The Flash" season 2 will air a new episode on Tuesday night entitled "Versus Zoom." This is the episode where Barry Allen aka The Flash (Grant Gustin) will find out more about who Zoom is.
"The Flash" season 2, episode 19 will air on The CW on April 19 at 8 p.m. ET.
