"Fifty Shades Darker" will reportedly be very different from the book written by E.L. James.
In the books, Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele only got engaged in "Fifty Shades Darker." It was only in "Fifty Shades Freed" that they decided to tie the knot.
However, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel is rumored to feature Christian (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia's (Dakota Johnson) wedding scene already.
The two co-stars were recently spotted wearing their wedding rings on the set of the film in Vancouver, Canada.
According to IBTimes, the couple's engagement will progress at a much quicker phase in the movie.
This change may seem like a no biggie for some fans, but truth is, it could change the entire timeline of the movie.
If Christian and Anastasia will already be married in "Fifty Shades Darker," this means that "Fifty Shades Freed" could also start somewhere in the middle.
Meanwhile, some of the cast members of "Fifty Shades Darker" have already been spotted on the set of the sequel.
This includes Bella Heathcote as Leila Williams, Eric Johnson as Jack Hyde and Rita Ora as Mia Grey.
Other cast members who have not yet been spotted on set are Kim Basinger who will play the role of Mrs. Robinson and Hugh Dancy who will play the role of Dr. John Flynn.
Based on the books written by James, Leila was described as a beautiful but troubled woman. She will return to the life of Christian and will threaten his life and Anastasia's.
Mrs. Robinson is described as the woman who introduced Christian into the world of BDSM. She will also pose a threat to Anastasia.
Dr. John Flynn is Christian's psychiatrist. The latter will confide in the former regarding his deepest, darkest secrets.
Finally, Jack is known as Christian's biggest nemesis. He will also become Anastasia's boss, and he will try to flirt with her. Unfortunately, Anastasia is deeply invested in her relationship with Christian so she wouldn't reciprocate.
"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017. "Fifty Shades Freed" will be released on Feb. 9, 2018.
