Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly considering divorce.
A source recently told InTouch Weekly that Pitt no longer believes that his marriage could be fixed.
"Brad feels that their almost two-year union is unsalvageable," the source said.
When asked to reveal the real reason behind their impending divorce, the source said that the couple is having problems because of their individual and professional ambitions.
"They're at war over who's looking after the kids since that agreement got blown out of the window with her desire to turn her directing career into a success after several failures. This is tearing them apart, but Brad's got no choice. He's done more than enough to help her directing career, even risking his own reputation in her schmaltzy flop 'By the Sea,' and now it's time to get back to work," the source added.
Meanwhile, there are also some rumors that Pitt can no longer deal with Jolie's inner demons. This is one of the many other reasons for their upcoming divorce.
"Angie has some serious dark demons that have never entirely let go and it is still affecting her life and marriage. Her wild lifestyle when she was younger and her intense surgeries to avoid getting breast and ovarian cancer have taken a toll on her as a person and a life partner. Some of her issues force her to retreat into isolation and pull away from Brad and the kids. It is impossible to be entirely free from who she once was," a source told Hollywood Life.
The source added that Pitt used to be so attracted to Jolie's dark side because he felt as though he is the one who could save her. Unfortunately, this didn't turn out to be the case.
"Brad was initially attracted to her dark side, but when she goes to this dark place she definitely pushes Brad away. It can be really hard on him. He feels he has been more than patient with Angie, but his confidence in their happiness is wearing thing," the source added.
As of late, Pitt and Jolie have not yet confirmed or denied these rumors.
