After months of rumors that Bruce Jenner is transitioning into a woman, it has been finally confirmed that the patriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan is having a sex change. The confirmation was done by none other than Esther Jenner, the former Olympian's mother.
In an exclusive interview with Radar Online, Esther said she just learned about her son's transition.
"Bruce filled me in, and we had a very long, long, long talk about it," Esther said also confirming that Bruce's transition will be featured on a documentary TV show. "I have never been more proud of Bruce for who he is, himself as a father, as an Olympian, a wonderful public speaker."
While she was not aware of her son's inner struggle until recently, Esther said she is proud of her son for what he is allowing himself to do and described him as a gifted person who instils enthusiasm in people.
For Esther, Bruce deserves all the respect and he is "more proud of him now than when he stood on that podium and put the gold medal around his neck." She said her son's transitioning into a woman will all be worth it if other people with emotional problems get help from it.
Bruce is reportedly not getting much support from her former wife Kris Jenner and daughter Kim Kardashian. On the other hand, his mother said she supports him wholeheartedly and she just loves him like she always has.
Prior to Esther's confirmation, a source told People magazine that Diane Sawyer is in talks with Bruce for an exclusive interview to discuss his plans to transition to live as a woman.
