New details for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will feature more Gwent Cards, a June 2016 release date, and two characters added for the "Blood and Wine" expansion.
Several rumors are making rounds that a possible release date for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's" next expansion "Blood and Wine" has been leaked online as Polish video game website GRYOnline stated that the new DLC will launch on June 7, Gamerant reported.
Although, it is uncertain yet whether the release date for the "Blood and Wine" DLC is legitamite or simply a placeholder, CD Projekt RED did promised gaming fans that expansion will launch in the first quater this year and the month of June would likely fall in the that category.
Aside from the leaked release date, the "Blood an Wine" DLC expansion will also include a new set of physical Gwent Card decks similar to the first DLC "Hearts of Stone", Gamesradar reported. The plot of "Blood and Wine" DLC will have Geralt of Rivea travel to the region of Touissant, a land not ravage by war or conflict and appears as peaceful kingdom. However, under the peaceful appearance lies a dark and terrible secret that will place Geralt in danger once again.
The DLC will feature new sets of weapons, armor and signs in "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt", as well as a level up requirement of level 40 to begin the expansion and two standard game endings with one secret ending. There is also a "Bone sword" for Geralt, which is related to the Brotherhood of Wolf.
New monsters will be encountered in "Blood and Wine" DLC such as Bruxas, Manticores and Stringas. In addition a rumored huge boss fight equivalent of the Kraken in "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings". There will be different armor color changes are offered by NPCs for each setting, four new skills in Combat, Alchemy and Sign, 12 New General Skills, three Skill slots and one Mutagen slot.
"Blood and Wine" will also introduce both old and new characters in "The Witcher" games and novels such as Fringello Vigo, her cousin and the dutchess of Touissant Anna Henriatta and the evil sorcerer Vilgefortz. In addition, it is rumored that Geralt's friend Dandelion and the vampire Regis are added to the DLC.
Dandelion's voice actor John Schwab tweeted that he had fun voicing his character again with the hashtag "The Witcher", although the tweet was removed shortly. As for Regis, game artist Darek Zabroski recently revealed new concept arts for the "Blood and Wine" DLC as fans quickly deduced that creature above Geralt looked like Regis, possibly hinting that the vampire will be heavily featured in the game plot.
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
