The Chinese tech giant Huawei has released its Huawei P9 Lite in Germany, which goes on sale in May for $336. The smartphone will be available in two color variants - Black and Gold.
The device sports a 5.2-inch full-HD display, according to Teltarif. Furthermore, the new smartphone runs on an octa-core Kirin 650 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. Huawei P9 Lite has a 16GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The smartphone runs on Google's latest OS, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with Emotion 4.1 UI on top. Other features include a 13MP main camera, an 8MP front facing camera, a fingerprint scanner, and connectivity features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, microUSB, and 3G. Wrapping up the great features is a massive 3000mAh battery.
Other smartphones under the P9 series include Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus, both of which come with a Leica dual 12MP camera setup. According to First Post, one of the two cameras has a sensor that captures the color information and the other one captures only black and white in addition to varying levels of gray details.
The dual camera setup is similar to what is seen on the QiKU Q Terra 808. While the two phones lack OIS, they both come with an 8MP front facing camera.
Both Huawei P9 and P9 Plus are powered by Kirin 955 chipset, which is a refined version of Kirin 950. The chipset houses an octa-core processor with one Cortex a53 quad-core cluster clocked at 1.8GHz and the other quad-core Cortex A72 cluster clocked at 2.5GHz.
Huawei P9 sports a 5.2-inch full HD display that offers the smartphone a 423ppi pixel density. Besides having an IPS LCD panel, the smartphone comes in two variants - the 4GB of RAM with 64GB storage and the 3GB of RAM with 32Gb storage - both of which are expandable via a microSD card. The P9 will ship with a massive 3000mAh battery and a USB Type-C port.
On the other hand, the Huawei P9 Plus sports a larger 5.5-inch full HD display with a 401ppi pixel density. As opposed to the P9, the P9 Plus comes in one variant only - 4GB of RAM plus 64GB storage variant. The only differences are that Huawei P9 Plus comes with 3D Touch called "Press Touch" and packs a massive 3400mAh battery under the hood.
