Samoa Joe shocked the wrestling world when he defeated Finn Balor to win the NXT championship on April 21, Thursday, at a live event in Lowell, Massachusetts. It caused rumors to go around that Balor will be called up to the main roster, but a rematch is reportedly on the cards for the next “NXT TakeOver” event.
The third time was a charm for Joe who ended Balor’s record 292-day reign as NXT champion. According to Cageside Seats, there are rumors saying that The Demon will be getting a rematch to try and reclaim the NXT title.

The planned bout is set to take place inside a steel cage at the next “NXT TakeOver” live event on June 8. NXT is known for the way it tells stories in the ring by just using wrestling and no gimmick matches.
However, the Joe-Balor rivalry has been going on since November 2015 and its final chapter may very well be a Steel Cage Match. If a fourth Joe vs. Balor match is the plan right now, the former champion may be getting one final televised NXT match before becoming a full-time member of the main roster.
A lot of speculations surround his debut especially with the presence of Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows and A.J. Styles. Those four were all former members of the wrestling stable known as the Bullet Club that prominently appeared at New Japan Pro Wrestling and other independent promotions in the United States.
Balor formed the group back in NJPW while he was still wrestling as Prince Devitt. On the other hand, Styles became the leader of the group when The Demon was signed by the WWE in 2014.
An incarnation of the group called Balor Club has been teased by the WWE on television as well as in social media for the past several months. Styles is currently in a feud with Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight championship with Gallows and Anderson being involved as well.
According to Daily Wrestling News, Balor will be getting a huge push later in the year. He could be making his main roster debut on May 1, Sunday, at the “Payback” pay-per-view and make his presence felt in the main event.
