The latest episode of "Game of Thrones" Season 6 has come and passed, and unsurprisingly Jon Snow remains dead. But hope is not lost that the Lord Commander will come back from the dead as there are glaring signs pointing to such an event that GoT fans are praying for.
Despite the insistence and concerted efforts from cast members, showrunners and HBO that Jon Snow is dead, many are still convinced that he will not remain in that state for long. In fact, the preparation for Snow's resurrection may have already started.
One major revelation from Episode 1 seems to affirm that the Red Woman or Melisandre will be instrumental in repairing the damages inflicted on Jon Snow's body by his fellow Night's Watchers. The priestess is actually an aging enchantress that has the magical powers to morph from a young body to a frail one. Yet make no mistake, Melisandre's powers remain potent and can be count on to work on Ned Stark's bastard son.
And it seems that Ser Davos, formerly a non-believer of the Red Woman's religion, is convinced that Snow can still be pulled back from his deep slumber with the help of Melisandre. After all, the erstwhile Hand of the King to Stannis Baratheon has witnessed the impossible things that the priestess has previously unleashed.
"You haven't seen her do what I've seen her do," Davos was quoted by Business Insider as saying in a report, in his mind playing back the birth of the black spirit, with the likeness of Stannis, from Melisandre's womb that slayed Renly Baratheon.
So Davos along with a few Snow loyalists are protecting Jon's body against the threat coming from Ser Allister and the rest of the Watchmen. That alone is proof enough that something big is still in store for hands down as the most beloved of Game of Thrones characters.
In a report, Business Insider is bold enough to call that a resurrection will happen again in Game of Thrones and Jon Snow will be at the receiving end. The publication noted that HBO has already revealed that GoT Episodes 2 and 3 are titled Home and Oathbreaker, respectively. The latter obviously alludes to Jon Snow - for his love of Ygritte and the rest of the Wildlings.
And that is like saying that Jon Snow will rise again in time for Oathbreaker "as an actual living man," and possibly move on to his bigger role of reclaiming Winterfell for the Starks, annihilate the Boltons and the rest of Northern traitors then work his way to King's Landing.
Game of Thrones Season 6, Episode 3 (Oathbreaker) airs May 8. Meanwhile, here is the preview for Episode 2:
