The Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update is rolling out to Sony Xperia Z2, Z3, Z3 Compact, Z3+, Z4 Tablet and Z5.
The Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update is now rolling out to the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, which has the build number 23.5.A.0.570, according to Xperia Blog. Users of Xperia Z3 Compact, which has the model number D5833 are also getting the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update.
Furthermore, the update is being rolled out to both the LTE and the Wi-Fi models of the device. Tthe model numbers of the LTE variant, which are getting the Android Marshmallow update are SGP621 and SGP641. On the other hand, the model number of the Wi-Fi variant, for which the update is rolling out are SGP611 and SGP612.
This update has come a wee bit late for Sony Xperia Z3 Compact tablet, as the other devices of the Xperia Z2 and Z3 range had already received it earlier, according to Android Authority. Some users of Xperia Z2 and Z3, who had enrolled for the Sony Marshmallow Beta Program had started receiving the update at the beginning of April. The leftover users have started receiving the update now, as well.
Some users of the Xperia Z2 device, which have the model numbers D6503 and D6502 are also getting the update. Xperia Z3 users with the model numbers D6603, D6646 and D6653 are also in line to receive the update. On the other hand, some users of Xperia Z3, which has the model number D5803 had already got the update at the start of the rollout.
Meanwhile, Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet with model numbers SGP511, SGP521 and SGP512 is receiving the update now. Last but not the least, users of Sony Xperia Z3 Dual with model number D6633 are also finally getting the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update.
In all, 16 devices from the Xperia Z series family are getting the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update. These include Xperia Z5, Xperia Z4 Tablet, and Xperia Z3+, along with the previously mentioned devices.
