Network carriers Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, and T-Mobile are rolling out the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update for Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

Samsung Galaxy S6 is finally getting the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update with the model number SM-G925P. The Android Marshmallow rollout for Galaxy S6 began in Korea and soon spread to other countries, as well.

Currently, the countries which are receiving the update are United Kingdom, Iraq, India, Austria, Holland and Russia. Other countries such as Spain, Germany, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Czech Republic, Macedonia and Croatia are also in line to receive the update.

In the United States, network carrier Sprint started the rollout when it released the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6. Later on, it also released the update for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

Verizon also followed in Sprint's footsteps and released the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge Plus. T-Mobile also released the update for these devices, according to its support page.

US Cellular has also released the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update for Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy S6 Edge and it can be downloaded via Samung Kies. Only AT&T has not released any information regarding when it plans to release the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update for these devices, which is speculated that it may do so by mid-May.

On the other hand, Canadian network carriers such as Bell and Telus are also rolling out the update for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge Plus. Other Canadian network carriers such as Eastlink and VideoTron have also joined the rollout for their users.

Android Marshmallow comes packed with some exciting and unique features. The individual application permission allows the users to give different instructions to different apps. The built-in support for fingerprint sensor allows them to quickly unlock their device without the use of security codes and patterns, according to BGR.
