"Let's Fight Ghost" is based on 2007-2010's web-comic, "Ssawooja Gwishina," by Im In-Seu. The TV adaptation is penned by screenwriter Kim Ji Sun and directed by Park Joon Hwa.

The drama revolves around a 19-year-old student, played by Kim, who died in an accident and became a ghost, who meanders carelessly until she meets the 17-year-old Park Bong Pal, an exorcist. Upon meeting him, she starts getting involved in other ghosts' lives, helping them to go on to the afterlife.

On April 27, Wednesday, the actress's agency, SidusQ, confirmed the news and urges everyone to anticipate a new side of Kim's acting. "Let's Fight Ghost" will begin shooting toward the end of May, considering its intended premiere window in July, All Kpop has learned.

The producers also stated the male lead, who will play as an exorcist, has yet to be decided. Now, the name of "Angry Mom" star, Ji So, is pinned to the upcoming drama, as there were rumors about the 23-year-old actor being courted for the male role.

The new TV drama takes over the tvN Mondays and Tuesdays 11 PM KST time slot, previously occupied by "Another Miss Oh," starring Park Do Kyung, Jeon Hye Bin, and Seo Hyun Jin.

The 19-year-old rising star began her acting career as a child actress when she was seven years old and initially gained widespread fame with "Missing You" as 15-year-old Lee Soo Yeon in 2013. Other notable series include "The Suspicious Housekeeper," "Reset," and "Who Are You: School 2015," as well as the recent Korean film, "Unforgettable."
