A photo of New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick kissing her 30-year-old daughter right on the lips has raised some eyebrows all over the internet. Etiquette experts say that such kinds of behavior should best be left at home and not on public, least to say the Super Bowl.
After the Patriots won the Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks the whole University of Phoenix Stadium was drowned into celebratory mood with hugs and kisses all over the place. The most intriguing of them all however was when Pats coach Belichick made what many netizens called a "making-out" kiss to her daughter.
Some users' tweeted support for the 62-year-old coach but it has not escaped the criticizing eye of the internet with some others branding it as "super wild," and "aggressive," according to NY Daily News.
Etiquette expert Elaine Swan commented about the incident saying, "Adult parents should probably not be kissing their adult children on the lips on public. We are judged by the way we behave so we have to be mindful of how we're perceived by others."
Swann also added that Belichick's culture and lineage might have influenced his actions and that the coach has a Croatian background where it is acceptable for men to kiss men and parents kissing their adult children are not considered taboo, according to Yahoo.
Despite the massive negative remarks about the photo many people deemed Belichick's action as "sweet" and only shows that he has a positive and healthy relationship towards her daughter.
Belichick has not yet offered a comment about the incident.
