Samsung could be pressing the go button for the Galaxy Note 6 release date as its current flagship, the Galaxy S7, is being offered for only $559 at auction site eBay. Considering that the device, which reviewers said is the best Android smartphone around, sells for as high as $700 the deal is a winner by any account.
The package comes with free shipping and checking on the eBay seller, the feedbacks are on the high mark that only provides solid assurance. Droid Life said that the S7 on display carries the model number SM-G930F, indicating that buyers will receive the international model that runs on Exynos 8890. Experts assure that the GS7 powered by Exynos chip packs the same power expected of its sibling with Snapdragon 820 sibling.
But while SD 820 is not available on this deal, the same Galaxy S7 specs and features are ready to impress - water and dust resistant, microSD slot that takes in up to 200GB of extra memory, longer battery life and the same gorgeous and solid build that had the experts letting out songs of praises.
Sammy and Android fans that favor the Galaxy S7 Edge are in luck too as eBay also offers the device but with a higher price tag of $629, which is still relatively lower than purchasing from the regular retail channels or telco providers.
Both the S7 and S7 Edge on sale will work on GSM networks, which for U.S.-based buyers will mean suitable only on AT&T and T-Mobile services. No joy for Sprint and Verizon fans here.
It appears too that the Galaxy S7 deal on eBay is in limited supply, according to BGR, so best to make the buy decision real quick. In the event units are no longer available, one can head instead to Amazon where the same Android flagship phone in SIM-free state can be had for only $615. Free and super-fast shipping is part of the deal, the report added.
But if luck runs out and the Galaxy S7 on both Amazon and eBay becomes scarce, eyes should be on the Galaxy Note 6, which likely will be out soon as suggested by the ongoing S7 and S7 Edge promo deals. The latest reports, in fact, from South Korea indicated that the Note 6 will land earlier than expected and boasting of feature upgrades to overwhelm the competition. And that includes the Galaxy S7.
Most of the new feature upgrades presented with the S7 will be on board for the Note 6 unboxing but there will be huge bumps such as 6GB RAM provision and 4000mAH battery pack.
Yet one thing to really look forward to about the Galaxy Note 6 is the possibility of the phablet flagship unpacking with Android N, which is the same reason that the device is likely set for an advanced release date, as early as July 2016.
