Apple iPad Air line-up development was said to be discontinued, and the Cupertino-based tech giant may no longer release iPad Air 3.
Gadget enthusiasts expected that Apple will unveil its next iPad Air series during the tech company's recent big event in March; however, at the end of that event, no iPad Air 3 was announced. Instead of getting sad, the absence of the said device increased the interest of Apple's supporters to get to know more about what the device has to offer.
According to rumors, iPad Air 3 will be a much more improved device compared to the previous iPad Air devices. It is said that this rumor is already expected, knowing that no technological company will release a flagship that is not better from its predecessors. On one hand, some are saying that there may no longer be an iPad Air 3, and that Apple's release of the iPad Pro 9.7 during the said event in March may be an indication that the company is considering to end the iPad Air production.
Then again, fans are still very optimistic that the iPad Pro 9.7 could be a hint of the long awaited iPad Air 3,as rumors points out that the third flagship of the iPad Air series will have the same screen size with that of the Pro 9.7. The iPad Air 3 is also rumored to have 2048 x 1536 screen resolution and should run under the A10 or A10X processor.
Furthermore, Geert van Uffelen ignited more speculations about the device with its release of a video concept focusing on the iPad Air 3. The video exposed that the next chapter in the iPad Air series will be able to support an Apple Pencil plus a 3D Touch display.
Nevertheless, it is still unsure whether Apple would release another device for its iPad Air roster, knowing that the company may shift its focus from producing iPad Air to centering its attention in developing more additions to its iPad Pro series. Some iPad Air lovers are still very optimistic that an iPad Air 3 will surface in the near future, given the fact that Apple's iPad Pro devices are quite expensive compared to the iPad Air series.
As of the moment, Apple has yet to release an official statement relating to its plans with iPad Air.
