Airing on May 1, Sunday, "Game of Thrones" Season 6 episode 2 titled "Home" marks the return of Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright). Recently, Wright talked about the adulthood of his character.
"He's an adult now and he's got all these adult responsibilities," Wright said of Bran Stark in an interview with USA Today. He said that what is nice about his character missing "Game of Thrones" Season 5 was that it was a substantial change and not just a gradual one.
The 17-year-old actor told the publication that while Bran Stark had glimpses of his power, there is neither something particularly deep nor something that exposed the audience to what the powers may be able to do. He also noted, "This destiny had been calling Bran the whole way through and he hadn't really known what it was."
The last time Bran Stark was seen in the HBO series was in "Game of Thrones" Season 4 episode 10 titled "The Children," which aired on June 15, 2014. In the episode, Wright's character achieved a goal while Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) and Podrick Payne (Daniel Portman) had an unexpected encounter and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) made an important discovery.
The Three-Eyed Raven told Bran Stark that he would not walk again after Jaime Lannister pushed him off a window ledge but he would fly. The mystical character was played by Struan Rodger in Season 4 but will be played by Max von Sydow in Season 6.
In Season 6, Bran Stark will be standing. It has yet to be explained whether or not it is just part of one of his visions.
Bran Stark is the brother of Robb Stark (Richard Madden), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and Rickon Stark (Art Parkinson). He is also the half-brother of Jon Snow (Kit Harington).
In other news, several performances of "Doctor Faustus," which is led by Harington, were cancelled because of the flooding at the Duke of York's Theatre in London. To compensate for the cancelled performances, the "Game of Thrones" actor met his fans in the theatre lobby to take selfies and sign posters, Broadway World reported.
