Monolith Productions co-founder Jace Hall is eyeing for a third installment of the "Condemned" game series although he is considering of handing the said project to prospective indie developers.
Hall created the game called "Condemned: Criminal Origins" for the Xbox 360 ten years ago while the second installment of the series called "Condemned 2: Bloodshot" was released three years afterwards, Engadget reported.
The game is a first-person role playing survival game that is quite bloody to say the least.
In Hall's Facebook page, he explained that people are asking him the release date of "Condemned 3"; however, since he is concentrating his focus on other matters, Hall is willing to let other developers take a crack at creating the third installment of the "Condemned" game series.
Hall said that he does not have "preconceived expectations" on what the selected game developer will do but he would like prospective developers to hand their proposals to him.
The game could be a prequel to the first two games or maybe a mobile game app. Hall believes that the game will become successful if the developer is not limited by restrictions set by him.
Since the franchise owner has announced that he will not interfere with the development of the game, fans are asking how long they will have to wait for "Condemned 3." Hall says he does not know and he further commented that the development of the third installment could take about three days or maybe three years.
Also, Hall gave assurance that any proposal given to him will be acted upon as fast as he can. He revealed that the number of proposals for "Condemned 3" is increasing, which proves that gamers and developers alike are still interested in the game.
According to Hall, any indie developer who tackles this project will certainly get the attention of the media. He wants to encourage indie developers to take his game franchise to a whole new level. He said, "I believe in people."
