Pop icon Britney Spears and the legendary Steven Tyler shared the half time stage at the Super Bowl 2001. Spears tweeted "Just ran into this guy @iamsteven #SuperBowl #reunited #2001halftimeshow." She even posted a picture of the happy event.
Of course, Tyler reciprocated by posting a photo with the pop princess planting a big kiss on his cheek. A happy incident indeed that left Tyler tweeting, "JUST GIMME A KISS...BRIT...2001HALFTIMESHOW #WALKTHISWAY #REUNITED."
According to The Daily Mail, the duo conquered the Super Bowl half time back in 2001 together and played their hot songs, together with Justin Timberlake and N'Sync.
Spears seems to be enjoying the Super Bowl this year. She arrived with her beau Charlie Ebersol and the two seemed to enjoy their day together, wherein the pop princess even posted several pictures of her and Ebersol.
Katy Perry was also awesome at the 2015 Super Bowl and Spears did not hide her enthusiasm being a fan. Spears tweeted, "That half-time show! @katyperry you rocked it!! #HalftimeShowKatyPerry".
On other Super Bowl News, it is not known to many that the first generation who conquered the half time stage during Super Bowl are college marching bands. It was in the 90's era that popular icon from the music industry were introduced, in which, Michael Jackson's show in 1993 hold the record for the most watched show in the history of the Super Bowl with 100 million viewers, until it was topped by Bruno Mars in 2014 with 115.3 million viewers.
Perry is the latest music icon that broke records of all record with 118.5 million viewers, MTV reported. After her performance at the 2015 Super Bowl, Perry solidifies her status as a pop culture icon of this generation.
The performers during the halftime show were not paid by the NFL, but the exposure that they get from doing the show is definitely worth it, increase in album sales, digital downloads and of course, being a part of history.
