Legendary musician Prince died sadly at the age of 57 on April 21, 2016 in his Minnesota mansion. It came as a shock to the music industry, with only a little information to offer into the cause of his death. Since the day his body was found unresponsive in a lift at his famous studio Paisley Park, there have been numerous speculations over the reason behind his sudden death.
The toxicology reports will take weeks to complete but the latest medical examination has shown no signs of trauma or specific illness. The medical reports are leading to the speculations that he was on the prescriptions drugs.
The reports have not revealed anything substantial yet. However, after the autopsy, there are talks about one of the prescriptions drugs musician used to take, named Percocet. It is a pain killer legendary musician was known to be taking frequently. It is said that Prince might have been addicted to these painkillers.
The last incident was from his recent tour in Atlanta, where he was performing on April 15, 2016. He is reported to have ingested the drug, following which he flew to his home in Minnesota in his private jet. Accordng to People Magazine, the "Little Red Corvett" singer got terribly ill and his plane descended in unusually fast speed for an emergency landing. After which, he was taken to the hospital, and was given an emergency dose of drug Naloxene, which is an anti-overdose.
The music genius was known to take Percocet for the pain triggered in the hip by years of strict dancing routine and injuries. His hip pain was also due to many challenging performances. He was known to undergo treatments frequently for his medical condition.
However, "Purple Rain" actor did not go under double hip transplant surgery, which was suggested to him on multiple occassions by his doctor. Temporary treatments also had weakened his immunity and were deteriorating his health further. According to TMZ, after the incident of Percocet overdose, Prince made frequent visits to the nearest pharmacy shop to collect more of the painkillers.
Meanwhile, search for his last will is still under investigation. His safe vault is found to be filled with unreleased recordings. Prince had been working non-stop for 154 hours straight without taking any sleep before his sudden death.
